Mr. Acri received his business education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he received an undergraduate and a Master’s Degree in Business and Administration, with a course concentration in Finance. Mr. Acri was Magna Cum Laude of his class.
Upon completing his course work, Mr. Acri started his business career at Andersen Consulting. At Andersen Consulting, Mr. Acri obtained an in-depth knowledge of computers and accounting systems.
After several years at Andersen Consulting, Mr. Acri moved on to the private industry. During this period, Mr. Acri became more heavily involved with computer-driven financial analysis and cash management and eventually was promoted to the position of Senior Financial Analyst at a real estate syndication company.
Due to the 1986 changes in tax laws, the real estate firm went into a liquidation mode. Mr. Acri saw this as an opportunity to obtain control of a part of the firm’s business and, shortly thereafter, co-founded Golden Triangle Management Group, Inc. (GTMG).
At GTMG, Mr. Acri successfully restructured in excess of $100 Million of mortgage debt, including over $30 Million of refinancing. In addition, Mr. Acri founded the community properties division and grew that division to over 700 units under management.
Eventually, Mr. Acri started his own real estate firm, Acri Commercial Realty, Inc., Mr. Acri’s first move was to purchase the community properties division from GTMG.
With over 25 years of Community Management experience, ACRI has now grown to the largest Pittsburgh Area Property Management Company with communities in over 6 counties.
